Brilliant twice on the roads of the Tour de l'Avenir, Michel Ries was, during this event, 2nd in a mountain stage ahead of a certain Tadej Pogacar. Silver medalist at the Luxembourg Time Trial Championships, Michel Ries also finished 7th in the 2021 Ventoux Denivelé Challenge.
