Sprinter and classics runner, David Dekker was crowned Dutch Champion in 2019 among the Espoirs. Having moved into the professional ranks within the Jumbo-Visma team, in 2019 he achieved a good third place in the Grand Prix Samyn and won over Ster Van Zwolle and Dorpenomloop Rucphen. He also finished second in stages 1 and 4 of the 2021 UAE Tour. Last year he finished second twice in mass sprints, at the Tour of Oman (1st stage) and Giro d'Italia (2nd stage). ).
