3rd in Cesenatico, Vincenzo Albanese signs his 5th podium of the season, after the three obtained on the Tour des Alpes-Maritimes et du Var, and on Villafranca.

At the end of the race, I slipped into a group of counter-attacks behind the two riders who had led most of the race, first by joining a group of ten riders, then with another competitor. When I saw that our efforts would be too energy-consuming, I got up and let the peloton come back to save myself for the sprint. I finally finished in third place. I would like to thank the entire ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team for working tirelessly to reduce the gap with the two leaders and allow us this sprint outcome on the Marco Pantani Memorial.

We saw a Vincenzo Albanese in very good condition this Saturday at the Marco Pantani Memorial. About thirty kilometers from the finish, he joined a chase group of twelve men, then escaped with a competitor in an attempt to catch up with the two leaders, without success. The ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team reacted well by taking the lead at the front of the pack. Vincenzo had a small problem in the final circuit, but Simon Guglielmi who was at his side allowed him to quickly restore the situation. Despite the efforts made and a sprint launched perhaps a little too early, Vincenzo still took a nice 3rd place.
