Vincenzo Albanese took 2nd place in the Prueba Villafranca - Ordiziako Klasika, settling the peloton's sprint through the streets of Ordizia.

It was a difficult race. Jan Christen (UAE) escaped in the last difficulty and it was impossible to catch him. I made a good sprint for 2nd place. Since the Vuelta a Castilla y Leon, the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team has been doing good work. This is very positive for the group dynamic. Personally, this is my first podium in a one-day race this season. I hope to use it to get this second part of the season off to a good start and achieve other good results.

We achieved 2 podiums in 2 races this week in Spain, that’s good. Today, it was difficult to compete with UAE so 2nd place is a good result. The ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team worked well. From the start, Mathis Le Berre was present from the first attacks. Then when it was necessary to react over the kilometers, we responded. Our entire collective did a very good job of placing our two leaders of the day, Vincenzo Albanese and Alessandro Verre. In 2 days of racing, we were able to see that the automatisms were there, which bodes well for this 2nd part of the season.
