The second stage of the Tour d'Eure et Loir, which took place between Les Villages Vovéens and Vald'Yerre, ended in a sprint. Florian Dauphin took 3rd place.

The instructions today were to toughen up the race, and that's what we did. We were always represented at the front. I tried to leave 3 km from the finish, without success. I then bet on the sprint. I believed in it until the last 10 meters where I was caught up and I finally took 3rd place.

It was a crazy day! The ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team riders followed the instructions perfectly. We saw the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS "Excalibur" jerseys all day long, represented in all the breakaways. Rémi Lelandais was in the first. Then, it was Lucas Janssen, Giosué Epis and Baptiste Gillet in a group of a dozen riders. We were outnumbered, it was ideal. Unfortunately, this breakaway was caught 3 km from the finish. So we bet on Florian for the final sprint. We believed in it, because he was caught in the last meters. I am very disappointed for the riders who are not rewarded after the excellent work they have done all day. I am proud of them. There is still one stage left, and we remain focused.
