Norwegian climber Embret Svestad-Bårdseng took 6th place in the queen stage of the Tour of Friuli. He holds the same position in the overall classification.

I was in good form today. The result is ‘OK’. I tried to anticipate the attack by Visma - Lease a Bike on the penultimate climb. It didn't work, they just rolled away. The last climb went up quickly and I think that 6th place reflects my level today. But we've still got two days to go and tomorrow's final will be explosive. We're going to have to fight as a team, because we have what it takes to go out and win a stage over the last two days.

The overall result today was satisfactory. The riders were present on this queen stage of the Tour of Friuli. Perhaps Embret Svestad-Bårdseng could have done better in managing the last two difficulties. Nevertheless, the trio vying for victory was out of reach. The gaps in the overall classification are already very large. We have a rider in 6th place with Embret, Louis Rouland and Jean-Loup Fayolle in the top 20. The hardest stage is over, but there are still two very tricky days ahead. There could be openings, so we'll have to seize the opportunities.
