Quite a day for the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team on this first stage of the Tour of Portugal. Michaela Drummond wins, followed by Maurène Trégouët for 2nd place. Marie-Morgue Le Deunff finished 4th and won the polka dot jersey, while Maurène took the white jersey.

I couldn't have hoped for a better start to this Tour of Portugal. I am really happy to win this first stage in Agueda and I would like to thank the entire ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team for the superb work accomplished throughout the day. I remain focused for the future and I am already looking forward to starting tomorrow in Mealhada, close to my training routes.

It's quite a group shot for the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team with a magnificent sprint victory for Michaela Drummond and a second place for Maurène Trégouet. Marie-Morgane finished 4th and won the polka dot jersey, Maurène the white jersey. I am proud of the entire team who worked very well and controlled this first stage. Ready for the rest of this Tour of Portugal starting tomorrow from Mealhada
