2nd yesterday and 6th today, Maeva Squiban takes 3rd place in the final overall classification of the Tour de la Semois.

My team-mates from the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team rode all day behind the various shots that came out, and I'd like to thank them for their work. In the end, there was a regroupement around one kilometre from the finish. Personally, I had a bit of a slump in the middle of the stage but it came back in the last part of the race. I'm sure I left a few things behind and that cost me a better place in the final. Nevertheless, I'm pleased to finish on the podium in the Tour de la Semois after a day of ups and downs.

This morning at the briefing, we said we were going to try and win the overall classification. That was our objective for the day. The ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team - with Maurène Trégouët, Clémence Latimier, Océane Mahé and Titia Ryo - rode when they had to to try and achieve this objective, and the team-mates did their job today to maintain the gaps behind the various breakaways. Unfortunately, we weren't able to make any headway in the final stages. Maeva Squiban went out with De Jong and Swinkels, who took the bonuses by doing 1 and 2 of the stage. As a result, she finished 3rd in the final overall classification, which is a little disappointing given the work put in by the team today. Mistakes cost us victory today, but we're still learning and making progress.
