Team ARKEA-B&B HOTELS Développement concludes the Tour du Piémont Pyrénéen with Jean-Loup Fayolle in 2nd place overall and 3 podium finishes in the last three stages. Sports director Léonard Cosnier looks back on the 4 days in the Béarn region.

We had the idea of trying to reverse the overall classification today. I attacked from a distance. I caught up with a group with Hubert Grygowski and Rémi Lelandais and they helped me out. Then I went out again in the final. After the death in the race yesterday of my compatriot Andre Drege, it was tough. When I attacked, I thought of him. I also wanted to race for him and enjoy myself.

Before this final stage, we had some riders placed in the general classification, notably Jean-Loup Fayolle, 2nd just a few seconds behind the leader. We raced today to try and win this one, by putting people in front, Hubert Grygowski and Rémi Lelandais, and then re-launching the race behind with a rider like Martin Tjøtta and Jean-Loup Fayolle in the final. We don't have much to reproach ourselves for today. We tried. Martin took 2nd place in Pau, with victory just around the corner. Jean-Loup finished 2nd overall. The Tour du Piémont Pyrénéen was a tough one, but there were some satisfying results: Martin Tjøtta was back in fine form, Lucas Janssen showed some fine climbing skills and Jean-Loup Fayolle continued his apprenticeship in his first Espoir year. The aim of the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS Développement team is to put things in place and make progress as a team. And that's exactly what they're doing.
