Anaïs Morichon and Clément Venturini finished on the podium in their respective categories (2nd and 3rd) on Sunday in Troyes, round 6 of the French Cyclo-cross Cup.

This second run was a bit more complicated for me, I got a bit in the red at the start and technically I made a lot of mistakes so I lost some ground. I fell twice, which made me lose even more time, which affected my morale before the last lap. But I finished well. I'm happy with the weekend. I'm not feeling the way I'd hoped yet, but that's gradually happening.

This French Cup weekend in Troyes, the town that will host the 2026 French Championships, gave me the chance to get back in touch with the national level. It's through confrontation that you make progress. It's helped me progress, and today I finished on the podium. It's a small reward, and it bodes well for the future. Next week it's the World Cup in Dublin, which will be another step up. But that's how you progress, by competing against the best. The aim is to narrow the gap as the competitions go on. It was a good French Cup weekend for me, but also for the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team, with three podiums in three races: two for Anaïs (victory and second place), and a podium for me.
