On the slopes of the Col de l'Aubisque, Austrian Valentina Cavallar took 2nd place in the 2nd stage of the Tour of the Pyrenees, her first podium finish since she turned pro.

Even though I would have preferred to win, I'm aware that this is only my 10th day of racing as a professional. I tried to attack on the last climb so that I wouldn't have any regrets, but I was thwarted and ended up finishing 2nd. I'd like to thank my team-mates for the hard work they put in all day, putting me in the best possible conditions.

We took charge of the race for Valentina. The girls worked hard to get her in the best possible conditions. She finished 2nd at the summit of the Col d'Aubisque. It was a fine performance on her 10th day of racing with the professionals. There are still a few things to sort out, but she's learning fast. We also won the team classification today, which just goes to show how committed we are and how well we work as a team. Let's get on with the final stage tomorrow between Nay and Bosdarros.
