The climber Cristián Rodríguez, has a good record of success in the professional world. The Spaniard's first major victory came on the African continent, at the Tour of Rwanda. In the 2021 edition, he won a stage victory and the general classification. He confirmed his abilities in 2022 by finishing 2nd in the Ruta Del Sol Vuelta a Andalucia, and won the best climber classification in the Itzulia Basque Country. He reached a milestone in 2023 with 2nd place overall in the Route d'Occitanie, 2nd in the Giro dell'Appenino and 13th overall in the Vuelta Ciclista a España. He was also a key factor in Kévin Vauquelin's success on the 2024 Tour de France, in Bologna, a stage on which he finished 4th.
