The WorldTour one-day races return to the calendar on Saturday with the Clasica San Sebastián.

I've already competed in the Clasica San Sebastián and the strategic location for this race is the Jaizkibel. It's a very tough mountain. You really have to be in a good position from the foot of the climb. It's very steep and very difficult. I think we'll have some great cards to play with our punchy climbers, particularly Clément Champoussin. The tactics will be very simple: position Clément and the puncheurs-grimpeurs very well at the foot of the Jaizkibel so that they can finish the race as well as possible.

The Clasica San Sebastián is the World Tour's one-day race after the Tour de France. It is a tough competition aimed at puncheurs and climbers. It covers more than 235 kilometres with 4,000 metres of ascent. Fairly hot temperatures are forecast. The aim will be to put Clément Champoussin and Louis Barré, our two trump cards in this classic, which celebrates its 43rd anniversary this year, in the best possible conditions.
