After his 2nd place yesterday in Marguerittes, Arnaud Démare was back on the same step of the podium today in Bessèges, the end of stage 3.

At the moment I launch my sprint, I think it's the right time. I could feel my legs going numb and I couldn't push any harder. I really put up a fight right up to the line. It was a complicated day because of the cold, the rain, the change of course... Despite everything, I remember once again that we had a good team. I sensed that there was a possibility of a sprint and the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team tried to control that. We're still placed in the overall classification and we'll see what happens next.

Before the sprint, it was a slightly complicated stage. Kévin Vauquelin had to change bike in the final, when our rivals showed up at the front. We knew how to be intelligent and the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team managed this race situation well. Then, a sprint in these weather conditions is always a bit special. Arnaud did a good sprint but he was beaten by a stronger rider. No regrets there. He was 2nd yesterday and finishes in that place again today. It's bound to go in his favour very soon.
