Emmanuel Houcou, the first Martiniquan cyclist to turn professional, came to high-level cycling by the track, and in particular the Pôle France Outre-Mer in Hyères. Emmanuel, who then joined AVC Aix-en-Provence on the road, quickly revealed his sprinting talents under the club's colours. These talents enabled him to score three victories in 2024: the Grand Prix d'Is-sur-Tille, a stage in the Tour du Nivernais Morvan and another in the Tour de Moselle, as well as second place in the Circuit des Quatre Cantons and Paris-Troyes.
