7th in Saint-Vulbas, Arnaud Démare and Yvon Ledanois debrief us the final sprint of this 5th stage.

I would like to thank all my teammates for the great work they did on my behalf during this second stage of the Tour, which ended with a massive sprint. My teammates are doing a great job, they have the strength to carry over in the last km. Thanks to them. It will open in the next few days, I have a good feeling. I felt good, but I got knocked around in the last kilometer. I was patient, maybe too much, but in any case I was aggressive as I wanted. This is what I want to remember. I lost a lot of places in the last five hundred meters. I lost some small battles today that needed to be won, and in fact, I'm wasting a lot of energy trying to maintain my position. But there is room, I am convinced.

A sprint expected in Saint-Vulbas, by us already. The ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team did a superb job of putting Arnaud in excellent conditions. We all saw that the sprint was nervous, stormy. A sprint, indeed! Arnaud is there, he could very well have placed second or third. There are very few things to do with it. He was put in a good mood by his teammates, and that is what we must remember. He was also thrown around a bit in the sprint, which caused him to lose Dan's wheel. But in any case, we cannot repeat the sprint. What matters to us are the next opportunities to come with Arnaud.
