Vincenzo Albanese took 5th place in the Coppa Agostoni this Sunday.

It was a difficult race from the start. There was a lot of movement, I managed in a second time to get back to a group of about thirty riders. After the quartet with Hirschi broke away, I managed to get back to a group of pursuers. It broke again and our small group came back to about fifteen seconds from the head of the race, without unfortunately being able to make the junction. I settled this group of pursuers in a sprint for 5th place.

We were well represented at the front from the first kilometers of the Coppa Agostoni. It didn't let up from start to finish, the pace was really sustained all day. Ewen Costiou, Clément Champoussin and Vincenzo Albanese took the breakaways, and Vincenzo, who rode very well, was in the counterattack until the finish. The only downside was not having Clément in the same group, which would have allowed us to hope to get back to the four leaders and play for the victory, but it was the only disappointment of the day. Collectively, the form is there, and it's encouraging for the rest of the week, with the Coppa Bernocchi starting tomorrow.
