This 3rd and final stage of the Tour d’Eure-et-Loir was once again marked by several attacks and breakaways. We were represented, notably with Florian Dauphin, who took the 6 bonus seconds. In the final, the tactic was to launch Lucas. The riders of the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team were perfectly placed 500 m from the finish. Unfortunately, there was a mistake on the course, misleading the peloton in the last few meters. We really believed in it today, it’s a disappointment.
I would nevertheless like to highlight the perfect involvement of the entire ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team. Throughout the three days, we were perfectly represented at the front and were very strong collectively. I am really proud of them, because for my part, it is easier to give race tactics, and they deserve credit for having managed to apply them. We really believed in it today, but that’s how it is. Finally, we have three riders in the top 10 of the general classification (Florian Dauphin 4th, Baptiste Gillet 6th and Lucas Janssen 10th), and we are second as a team in this Tour d’Eure et Loir on which there was a really good field.
