David Dekker was our card for the sprint this Friday during the 13th stage of the Giro which arrived in Cento. The only difficulty could be the wind, we knew it could happen. When a border formed, we We had three riders from the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team: Jenthe Biermans, David Dekker and Michel Ries. But when the wind changed everything returned to normal.
Following the regrouping, all the riders were grouped around David, but three of our riders were caught in a fall at the start of the finale: David, Alan Riou and Ewen Costiou. All three were able to reach the finish. This fall changed our plans, and in the end Jenthe Biermans had to do his sprint alone.
