Another fine performance on the Belgian roads by the red and black team in the “Excalibur” jersey, with Marjolaine van't Geloo finishing top 4 in the sprint.

The race was very fast in the final stages, as you'd expect, and my team-mates from the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team did an extraordinary job in positioning me and keeping me “safe” and relaxed as the final stages of this race approached. They positioned me perfectly for the sprint. I'm a bit sad to just miss out on the podium, but I think given the level of the sprinters here, I can be very happy with fourth place. I'm happy to be able to show my level in a sprint, and to be able to measure myself against the best sprinters from the big teams who took part in this edition of Danilith Nokere Koerse WE.

4th, Marjolein van'T Geloof from Nokere Koerse, was a fine performance, as there was a high level of competition in this race. The sprint was contested on a different finish from other years, and this was more in keeping with Marjolein's qualities as a sprinter, with a more resistant sprint. The ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team did an excellent job, and even the runners blew me away. Marjolein was really able to save herself throughout the race, was sheltered from the wind, and was able to express herself fully, with a lot of energy again in the finish. Well done to Amandine and Maurène who did a great job for their sprinter, putting her back in the lead at just the right moment. This confirms our fine classics campaign and Lotte's victory at the Omloop Nieuwsbald. We had a little disappointment in Belgium recently, despite a great team race, but instead of demobilizing us, it actually strengthened us to shine today. We're on a roll right now, and we're going to do everything we can to keep it that way right up to the end of the classics campaign.
