The tour of Catalonia ended today in Barcelona. Michaela Drummond finished 7th after a massive sprint.

It was a difficult day for the sprinters who were trying to overcome the climb at the 30th kilometer. My teammates positioned me perfectly. Thanks to them. I lose contact at the top of the climb, but I manage to get back into the leading group. From there I knew it would be a sprint and it was about recovering well before the end. I tried to position myself as best I could by holding the wheels 1 km from the finish, but I lost them in the final packing and found myself a little too far away to compete for the podium. I am aware that we could certainly have hoped for a better result but I remain satisfied with this 7th where the level was high.

The third and final stage of the Tour of Catalonia offered a hilly route. A 3.5km bump at kilometer 30 broke the peloton. Maeva and Michaela managed to catch the first group. During the final sprint, Michaela placed 7th. This is a good result considering the level of this test. The ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team is working better and better collectively, which is encouraging for the future.
