The ARKEA-B&B HOTELS Women’s team will line up at the start of the Tour of Portugal this Wednesday in Gaia.

I have ambition for the Tour of Portugal. I have lived in Porto for a while and consider this city my second home, so some of the roads will be familiar to me which is an added bonus. The first stop starts in Canelas, where my boyfriend grew up, so it holds a special place in my heart. Having support in Portugal is an additional motivation. The stage is rather flat and ends with a slight climb, so I really want to do well. For the rest of the Tour of Portugal, there will be hillier stages as well as new opportunities for sprint finishes. I am looking forward to this race and I am convinced that our ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team has the potential to do great things.

Marie-Morgane Le Deunff

The Tour of Portugal will be my resumption after the Tour of the Pyrenees. This will be my first participation in this competition. We have a good ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team to compete in the sprints, especially with Michaela and Maurène. We hope to obtain a very good result and concretize the work done so far. My goal will be to seize opportunities and support my teammates.

“The Tour of Portugal consists of 5 stages, including a final time trial in Lisbon. These are hilly, but not excessively difficult, which will make the races very tactical. We are entering this week without a designated leader, which will give each of the girls on the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team a chance depending on how the race goes. We will try to achieve good performances every day and aim for a good place in the general classification in this 2nd professional edition of the Tour of Portugal. »
