The Giro della Toscana will open a block of classics in Tuscany and on the Adriatic coast for the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team.

This week of classics in Italy has got off to a good start for me (6th in the GP Industria & Artigianato on Sunday with Team Italy, NLDR) and I hope that it will continue in a good way collectively with Team ARKEA-B&B HOTELS. I live in the area and I know the roads of the Giro della Toscana well. It's a difficult route, perhaps a little too much for me given the length of the difficulties, but we have the possibility of achieving a good result. It will obviously depend on the opposition, but often a group of 15 or 20 riders can challenge for victory, and we have the riders in the team who have the necessary speed to compete.

The Giro della Toscana, like those that follow, are truly Italian-style races. This is often done in the final laps, the last difficulties, on the pedal. We often see the same scenario in the Giro della Toscana, with the strongest riders coming out on the last long climb with more than 20 kilometres to go. Team ARKEA-B&B HOTELS will be lining up at the start with some good climbers. It's up to them to seize their chance.
