Arnaud Démare : "I really enjoy this race"

The BEMER Cyclassics and Arnaud Démare have forged a beautiful relationship, and the sprinter from the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team intends to continue that relationship this Sunday, after taking 4th place in 2023 in this event.

The BEMER Cyclassics is an event that I really enjoy, and it's one that I'm very grateful for, because I've often scored very good results in this competition, which used to be called the Hamburg Classic. I've finished on the podium, in the top 10, and I've even won it. It's not always when you enjoy races that you manage to score good results in them. I like the way it's run, the punchy aspect of this event with bumps that match my physical qualities, and which allow me to be present in the final. The ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team is strong and consistent too. The desire is there, and the aim is to give it our all on Sunday at the BEMER Cyclassics.

The BEMER Cyclassics is a classic that very often crowns a sprinter. The field of fast riders taking part in this event again this year is dense and of very high quality, which demonstrates the interest of all the sprint teams in seeing this scenario continue. But sometimes the sprint is massive or reduced, because the small bumps that decorate the finale of this event eliminate some of them, following the rhythm imposed by the peloton, notably on the climb to Waseberg, a difficulty that has to be climbed three times. For our part, we'll have a very fine ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team at the start in Hamburg, centred around Arnaud Démare, who will be supported by Dan McLay, Miles Scotson, Jenthe Biermans, Matîs Louvel, Alan Riou and Anthony Delaplace.
