Sprints and time trials will be the main focus for the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team at the Tour du Poitou-Charentes 2024.

It's great to be given a race number for the Tour Poitou-Charentes. I've been looking forward to it for some time, and to see the fateful hour approaching is an immense joy. I went through a long period without cycling and then without racing. It's as if I haven't even started my 2024 season, because it's been so long. I'm in good shape at the moment. I've worked hard over the last few weeks to get back up to scratch. Now it remains to be seen how the resumption on the roads of the Tour Poitou-Charentes will go. There will be some great sprint stages for Arnaud. My role will be to help the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team as much as possible, and then to set the best time possible. I'm looking forward to seeing the staff and my team-mates from the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team again, and I know that I'm going to give it my all. Even though I've been injured, the aim is to get my confidence back and my legs back in shape for the races that follow. The aim is to set a good time, and if I finish with a good overall classification, that'll be perfect. I'm coming to this race with a lot of desire, and above all after this long period of convalescence, which has made me even more aware of the importance of my job as a professional cyclist.

The Tour Poitou-Charentes is a target for Arnaud Démare. The aim will be for him to chase victory in an event that has suited him perfectly in recent seasons. Arnaud had a good Tour de France, followed it up with some training in the mountains, and will be confident going into this race. Arnaud will benefit from the support of his pilot-fish Dan McLay. The ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team will also be made up of young riders from the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS Développement team, who will learn a lot from Arnaud and Dan, such as Baptiste Gillet, Hugh Harvey and Florian Dauphin. We'll also have two time-trial specialists aiming for a good place in the overall classification: Nicolas Milesi and Ewen Costiou, who will be returning to competition for this event, but who is clearly motivated both in terms of what he says and his intentions.
