On Saturday, between Gent and Ninnove (194 km), Omloop Nieuwsblad opened the Belgian classics calendar. Jenthe Biermans and Amaury Capiot finished in the leading group for victory.

Jenthe Biermans wasn't having a great day. Amaury was disappointed with his sprint. He launched too far and crashed. It deserved a better result. On Sunday, there's Kuurne - Brussels - Kuurne. We'll have two fresh balls, so to speak, with Arnaud Démare and Luca Mozzato back in the group.
