ARKEA-B&B HOTELS

3 new members joining the Performance and Development Division

Fabien Rabeau, Baptiste Caillard and Pierre Gouault have joined the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS performance and development team.

Fabien Rabeau, Head of Performance and Development:

‘My first contact was with Didier Rous, Sports Manager of the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team, and then with the team management, including General Manager Emmanuel Hubert. I wanted to return to a WorldTour calendar, but above all to a performance and development project. It was the work with Bianchi, our technical partners, the wind tunnel, the setting up of training courses, everything that contributes to top-level performance that motivated me. What drives me is what happens before the competitions. The day-to-day work and interaction with all the staff involved in the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team's performance and development project. What I'd like to bring to the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team in the long term is my Cartesian, analytical side, my rigour in my work and to continue writing the performance project. We won't be able to change everything in a few weeks, but I'm patient and we'll get there with goodwill. My wish is that we all work together on a collective project for the benefit of the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team.

Baptiste Caillard, World Team coach:

‘I've been in contact with the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team for a long time. Our first exchanges went back three seasons, and the link has never been broken. The ARKEA-B&B HOTELS training team kept in touch with me. We already had a shared vision of performance and the project we wanted to implement. This year, I was approached by the sports management of the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team. I wanted to return to the top level, and the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS project presented itself to me. There are a lot of young riders with great qualities in the 2025 squad, and supporting them in their performance is a great challenge, as is of course supporting the more experienced riders. Working at WorldTour level is stimulating, and I share many of the same values as my colleagues in the Performance and Development Department. I'm interested in developing the equipment and analysing the data, and then we'll see how we can make the most of all this in a collective way, of course, because the most important thing is the interests of the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team.

Pierre Gouault, Devo Team coach:

‘My job will mainly be with the riders in the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS Développement team, and with two young riders in the UCI WorldTour squad, whom I have coached in the past. I'll be supported in my mission by Colin Jacquemin, who has a work-study contract with the Development team. I've had quite a few discussions with the Development team, Maxime Bouet and Léonard Cosnier. I got in touch with them straight away and they very quickly included me in the team's project. When they asked me to join the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS Development team, I didn't hesitate for a second. I'm also from Normandy, and I've seen the team evolve over the seasons. I used to be a professional cyclist myself and my aim is to pass on my experience to the youngsters. I want to pass on to them the good times and the not-so-good times that I've experienced, and as a coach I now know the mistakes that a young rider must avoid. My philosophy is to be serious without taking yourself too seriously. Performance comes through hard work, but above all cycling has to be fun, both in training and in competition.'
