Kévin Vauquelin will complete his 2024 Ardennes classics campaign by taking part on Sunday in Liège-Bastogne-Liège. The women's team will also be at the start of the oldest classic.

Liège-Bastogne-Liège belongs to the so-called Monuments events, and I am impatient to discover this Ardennes classic which bears the name “Doyenne”. It’s an event that covers 250 km, with quite a bit of elevation gain. The best punchers will be at the start of this competition which closes the cycle of spring classics. I can't wait to see how I can place myself in this race that I'm going to discover. We’ll see if I can get a good result, which would bode well for me and the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team.

Liège-Bastogne-Liège, because it is classified as a cycling “Monument”, is necessarily a more difficult race than the others, with the added bonus of altitude difference, and more kilometers too. So I am happy to compete in such a competition. It’s a classic that I like and that I’ve already raced. It is legendary, with a beautiful journey. I hope to be well on Sunday in order to be able to help Kévin Vauquelin who is really very strong at the moment, and who can therefore hope for a very good result.

Liège-Bastogne-Liège promises to be more demanding than the Flèche Wallonne. Placement in the peloton will be crucial from the start. I aspire to achieve a great performance with the ARKEA B&B HOTELS team. Climbs are my strong point and I particularly enjoy those on Sunday. I have participated in this race for the last two years, but the route this season has been changed. The arrival of Valentina is a plus for us because she immediately shows herself to be particularly efficient in the mountains, and she raises a lot of hope. I hope we can collaborate effectively and achieve a good result together on Sunday in Liège.

World Team “La Doyenne”, Liège-Bastogne-Liège will close the chapter of Spring classics on Sunday. The last round of the Ardennes is also the race which can most favor climber-punchers, with the Tour of Lombardy, at the end of the season. We will have a wonderful ARKEA-B&B HOTELS collective departing from Liège, with many climbers-punchers. Kévin Vauquelin had a great Flèche Wallonne on Wednesday, he can still hope for a good result on Sunday in Liège.

Equipe Femmes The Dean of Classics, which will take place this Sunday, is a series of very difficult bumps on a 153km long course. The weather conditions are expected to be better than during the Flèche Wallonne on Wednesday, where the runners had to face a deluge. The objective of the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team will be to protect Lotte and Valentina so that they can tackle the latest difficulties in the best possible positions. We have a good group of climbers and teamwork will be essential.
