Team ARKEA-B&B HOTELS Développement will be at the start of the Tour Alsace on Wednesday, with the general classification likely to be decided on the rugged terrain of the Vosges mountains.

The Tour de l'Ain and the polka-dot jersey I won in that race did me a world of good. I'll be taking part in the Tour Alsace for the 4th time. It's a special race: the prologue is a team race, but each team will be divided into two trios. We'll have to apply ourselves to make sure we don't lose any time. It's a tough race nonetheless, with its traditional finish at the Planche des Belles Filles and 3 very steep stages. We have what it takes to win the overall classification with our climbers, but we'll also have the chance to challenge for stage victory on terrain that's conducive to movement.

After the Tour of the Valle d'Aosta, the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS Développement team has another great race in its sights: the Tour Alsace. The route will be less mountainous and can cater for a different profile of rider each day. Climbers, puncheurs and sprinters will at least have a chance to express themselves until Sunday. We'll have 2 climbers, Louis Rouland and Jean-Loup Fayolle, who put in a good performance in Italy. They will be backed up by Martin Tjøtta. For the sprints, we'll have Giosuè Epis and Hugh Harvey. The latter will be essential on Wednesday, along with Rémi Lelandais, to get the team off to a good start. They will be joined by Louis Rouland in their trio, to help them aim for the best possible ranking. We have a complete team, capable of responding every day on all types of terrain with some very fine opposition in front of us, as is always the case on these class 2 events in France.
