Our first top 10 on the Tour de France Femmes

For its third participation in the Tour de France Femmes, the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team scored its first top 10 on a stage, thanks to Emilia Fahlin at the end of the first stage which finished in The Hague.

I had to take Michaela Drummond because she's faster than me in the sprint. It opened up in front of me on the left, so I went for it, but unfortunately Michaela stayed on the right. I then went for the sprint and finished 9th. It's good for the team and it's a good start to the Tour de France for the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team. It's just a shame that we weren't able to apply the initial plan and that Michaela wasn't able to sprint. We did a good job until the last ten kilometres. We'll have another opportunity tomorrow for Michaela to sprint.

There were lots of people lining the roads in Rotterdam for this first stage of the Tour de France Femmes 2024. The route was flat, designed on narrow roads, with lots of changes of direction which made the race very nervous. Michaela Drummond was picked to do the sprint, but our train was disorganised in the final. Emilia Fahlin nevertheless finished a fine 9th in Rotterdam. This is the first top 10 finish for the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team in the Tour de France for Women. It is the perfect start to the Tour de France for Team ARKEA-B&B HOTELS.
