Rémi Lelandais escapes on the 3rd and final stage between Lagnieu and Ile Chambod to finish as Tour de l'Ain's top climber

Every day since the start of the Tour de l'Ain, I've been active and played a part for the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team. On this last stage, it was a battle to get out. I managed to get over the first bumps and into the breakaway. My instructions were to score points in the best climber classification. And that's exactly what I did. Unfortunately, I crashed with 50 km to go and lost contact with the leading group. I'm delighted to be awarded the best climber jersey. What's more, it's acquired at home, on the roads I used to train on when I was younger.

Over the three days of the race, this was not the Tour de l'Ain that the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team could have hoped for. Above all, I'd like to highlight Rémi Lelandais' performance. He finished as the Tour de l'Ain's best climber, with a high level of performance. It's a good thing for a young rider, especially as he won the jersey on the last stage, which was the toughest of the three days of competition.
