Laurent Pichon: "another tough stage witha wild finish"

Clément Venturini finishes 6th in Terrasson. Louis Barré is 6th in the provisional overall classification of the Tour du Limousin.

The heavy thunderstorm that hit Terrasson made the race more nervous in the peloton that was battling for second place. I had to work my way back to the front of the group to make my effort, but also to try and reduce the gap to Alex Baudin with a view to the overall classification for Louis Barré, but unfortunately I didn't succeed.

I'd like to thank my team-mates who kept me in good position throughout the race. We were still the third group at the front of the pack. The peloton accelerated with sixty kilometres to go. Selection came from the back. I stayed in contact with the best. Anthony Delaplace put me back in a good position at the foot of the last climb, and I finished in a peloton of around forty riders who came in for second place in Terrasson.

Another tough stage on the Tour du Limousin this Wednesday, with a wild finish. Clément Venturini came 6th in the sprint. Louis Barré also finished in the peloton, which fought it out for second place. He is now 6th overall ahead of Thursday's big stage of the Tour du Limousin. The first two days in Limousin have already taken their toll, and you can see that the bodies are very tired. We're still in the race with two riders, Louis and Clément, in the top ten of the provisional overall classification.
