A climber, Alessandro Verre won a stage in the renowned Tour of Valle d'Aosta in the U23 ranks. Italian cyclo-cross and mountain bike champion in the junior ranks, he made his mark last year with an offensive performance in the Tour du Jura et du Doubs, and a 10th-place finish in the Coppa Agostoni at the end of the season.
